Fragrance Guide
Discover how to apply and enjoy your Knyazhenika alcohol-free oil-based fragrances. Our perfumes are 100% concentrated fragrance oils that offer long-lasting, intimate scent experiences.
1. About Oil-Based Fragrances
Our fragrances are alcohol-free, 100% concentrated perfume oils that:
- Last longer than traditional alcohol-based perfumes
- Develop uniquely on each person's skin chemistry
- Are gentler on sensitive skin
- Provide a more intimate, close-to-skin scent
- Don't evaporate quickly like alcohol-based fragrances
2. How to Apply Oil-Based Fragrance
IMPORTANT: Apply ONLY to skin, never to clothing or fabrics - oil can stain.
Pulse Points:
Apply a small amount to your pulse points where the skin is warmest:
- Wrists (inner side)
- Behind the ears
- Base of the throat
- Inside of elbows
- Behind the knees
Application Method:
- Use the rollerball or dropper to apply a small amount
- Gently dab or roll onto pulse points
- Let the oil absorb naturally - do NOT rub vigorously
- A little goes a long way - start with 1-2 drops per pulse point
- Allow 10-15 minutes for the fragrance to warm up and develop on your skin
3. When to Apply
- Apply to clean, dry skin for best results
- Ideal time is right after showering when skin is clean
- Apply to moisturized skin - oil fragrances work beautifully on hydrated skin
- Wait a few minutes after applying lotion before applying fragrance oil
4. How Much to Use
- Start with just 1-2 drops or one roll per pulse point
- Oil-based fragrances are highly concentrated - less is more
- You can always add more, but it's hard to remove excess
- The scent will develop and strengthen as it warms on your skin
- Reapply as needed throughout the day - oil fragrances typically last 6-12 hours
5. Making Your Fragrance Last Longer
- Apply to well-moisturized skin - oil absorbs better into hydrated skin
- Layer over unscented body oil or lotion for extended wear
- Apply to warmer areas of the body where circulation is higher
- Reapply to pulse points rather than adding more initially
- Oil-based fragrances naturally last longer than alcohol-based ones
6. Fragrance Storage
- Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight
- Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use
- Avoid storing in the bathroom - humidity can affect quality
- Keep away from heat sources and temperature fluctuations
- Store upright to prevent leakage
- Properly stored oil fragrances can last several years
7. What to Avoid
- DO NOT apply to clothing or fabrics: Oil will stain and leave marks
- Avoid rubbing: Gently dab and let the oil absorb naturally
- Don't over-apply: Oil fragrances are concentrated - a little goes a long way
- Avoid broken or irritated skin: Wait until skin is healed
- Keep away from eyes and mucous membranes
- Don't apply before sun exposure: Some oils can increase photosensitivity
8. Benefits of Oil-Based Fragrances
- Longer-lasting scent (6-12 hours or more)
- No alcohol means no drying effect on skin
- More skin-friendly for sensitive skin types
- Scent develops uniquely with your body chemistry
- More concentrated - better value
- Intimate, close-to-skin projection
9. Understanding Scent Development
Oil-based fragrances develop differently than alcohol-based perfumes:
- Initial application: Scent may seem subtle at first
- After 10-15 minutes: Fragrance warms and opens up on your skin
- After 30 minutes: True scent character emerges
- Throughout the day: Scent evolves and melds with your natural chemistry
10. Skin Sensitivity
- Test new fragrances on a small area first (inner wrist or elbow)
- Wait 24 hours to ensure no allergic reaction
- If irritation occurs, discontinue use and wash area with soap and water
- Oil-based fragrances are generally gentler than alcohol-based ones
